Comparing the Big Vacation Rental Websites
Most families start on vacation rental websites near Disney World like Vrbo or Airbnb. Vrbo has the largest Orlando inventory with over 20,000 listings, all entire homes. When comparing Vrbo vs Airbnb Orlando vacation homes, Vrbo wins for large family properties in resort communities.
Airbnb is better for short stays and smaller groups. Booking.com has over 16,000 homes in Kissimmee and suits international travelers.
What Direct Booking Saves You
The same home appears on multiple Orlando vacation rental booking sites at three different prices. Airbnb charges hosts 15.5%, built into the nightly rate. Vrbo charges hosts 8% (rising to 12% in October 2026) plus a 6 to 12% guest fee at checkout. When you book direct vacation rental Kissimmee homes through a local manager, those fees disappear. That is why the best website to find vacation rentals in Orlando is a local manager’s own site.
On a five-night stay in a 5-bedroom home, direct booking saves $150 to $200 compared to the same home on Airbnb or Vrbo.
